4 more days. 4 more evenings. I've almost made it the first "stretch" of this deployment!

But I'm almost not looking forward to it, because I know it will go by so quickly. Just as soon as he comes home, he will be leaving again. It's hard to decide what to do with 95 hours of being together. I'm sure we will make the best of the time given, but I'm not looking forward to it ending. Not looking forward to driving him to the base again one early morning, waving goodbye and not knowing when I will see him next.

2 Samuel 22:31-27

"As for God, his way is perfect;
the word of the LORD is flawless.
He is a shield
for all who take refuge in him.

For who is God besides the LORD ?
And who is the Rock except our God?

It is God who arms me with strength
and makes my way perfect.

He makes my feet like the feet of a deer;
he enables me to stand on the heights.

He trains my hands for battle;
my arms can bend a bow of bronze.

You give me your shield of victory;
you stoop down to make me great.

I love how much the verse applies to both Brock's life in the coming months and year as he is deployed and fighting for our country as well as for my life as I am here, holding down the home front.
