Big Surprise!

I guess most people know by now, but I thought I would make it official...

Baby Buoniconti is due May 31st, 2009!

We thought we'd get all these big things out of the way. You know, move, news of deployment to Afghanistan, and a baby, all in the course of a month, out of the way.

While we were very surprised to find out we were pregnant, and slowly adjusting to what this will mean with the timing of Brock's impending deployment to Afghanistan in February, we know God's plans for our lives are great and beyond our own.

So... +12 weeks down & 28 or so to go!

We are so grateful to the Lord for His blessings and provision in our lives. I love the story of Hannah in 1 Samuel 1:26-28. After many years of being barren, she cried out to the Lord for a son, while at the Temple for the yearly scarifices, the priest Eli came to her and prayed with her as well that God would give her a son. So many times I pray for this or that and rarely take time to give God the glory He deserves. I want my attitude to be that of Hannah's when He did bless her with a child:

"Oh, my lord! As your soul lives, my lord, I am the woman who stood here beside you, praying to the LORD."For this boy I prayed, and the LORD has given me my petition which I asked of Him."So I have also dedicated him to the LORD; as long as he lives he is dedicated to the LORD " And she worshiped the LORD there."
